Walters Fencing is a family owned and operated business based in the Tamworth district, North West New South Wales.  We provide contract fencing services, and specific fencing equipment, for all your rural and security needs.

Stephen Walters took his first steps into a future of contract fencing in 1990 as a labourer.  In 1992, Steve and his wife Narelle decided to create and manage their own business and hence 'Walters Fencing' was born.  After several years working with the traditional tools of the trade, such as the crow bar and shovel, and driving posts into the ground by manual means, Steve decided it was time to mechanise, modernise and streamline his business.  Implementing the use of a hydraulic post driver, a 'build-as-you-go' fencing trailer (which won second prize at the Ag-Quip Inventors section!) and other plant machinery has not only lessened the manual labour involved in fence construction, it has resulted in tremendously increasing efficiency and productivity.  And the crow bars can stay in the shed.  Today, Walters Fencing has six employees which enables two fencing teams to be operational at the one time.  

Steve and Narelle, together with their four children, continue to operate business from home.  They also continue to search for ways in which to improve what they do and always strive to be the best in the game.
