Oaklands Estate

Recently Walters Fencing was contracted to project manage the construction of the new entrance for Oaklands Estate.  We organized the earthworks, constructed the fencing and had the gates custom made, commissioned and erected the signage and coordinated the laying of the road base.

The timber posts are Pilliga Ironbark and the rails are Stringybark.  The cleats we used for this job are Horse Shoe which we felt encapsulated the feel of the Estate - close to Tamworth and the Equine centre with large block sizes and the rolling hills in the background.

We were asked to build a traditional style wooden post and rail fence to suit this colonial style house.  We used large Red Gum posts and rails and rabbit netting infill.  The solid timber was a challenge to move and work with, but offset the house and surrounds beautifully.
